Remote Life. Family. Travel.

Work remotely. Travel with kids. Live simply.

I’m Evan Parker. For over 10 years I’ve been working remotely and traveling with my wife and two kids. Here I share the real playbook: how to build a remote life without chaos, explore the world as a family, and keep things simple.

In 2024, I was joined by Alice Potter, a child psychologist who works with parents navigating remote work and raising kids in a new country. Once or twice a month, her expert articles appear here too — offering guidance for families balancing parenting, adaptation, and life abroad.

Why I Started Laspi.pro

After a decade of working remotely, raising two kids, and traveling across Europe and South America, I realized how messy online advice can be. This blog is my honest take on remote work, family travel, and simple living — no fluff, just what actually works. The name Laspi comes from an old word for “safe harbor” — a place where travelers can pause, recharge, and set out again.

Who We Write For

Tens of millions in the U.S. now work remotely at least part-time. Here you’ll find practical guides on home-office setups, chairs, webcams, monitors, power/internet backup, and staying productive without burning out

YouTube, TikTok, Etsy, consulting — if you make things online, this is for you. We cover beginner camera/mic/light kits, simple editing workflows, desk layouts for tiny spaces, and realistic budgets.

Less noise, more calm. Minimal desk setups, small yet capable PCs, quiet keyboards, cable discipline, and gear that looks good and disappears when you’re working.

Work + family balance is real. Compact desks, noise-canceling, time blocks, kid-friendly routines, and travel tricks that keep everyone sane.

You like stable home base + smart trips. Carry-on packing lists, kid-friendly itineraries in Spain/Portugal/South America, insurance, and “what this trip actually costs.”

Great community, small segment. Laspi focuses on the bigger U.S. audiences above — and keeps a “Travel Light” track for those who roam.
